Employment type: Part-time

Pay Range: $18-$25 per hour

Weekly hours: Approximately 18 hours per week

Summary

The Arise Gym, a premier competitive cheer and gymnastics facility located in Lago Vista, is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Competitive Cheer Coach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cheerleading, with a focus on coaching competitive teams to success. This position offers the opportunity to work with dedicated athletes in a supportive and fun environment.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement cheerleading routines and choreography

– Provide instruction and guidance to cheerleading team members

– Plan and organize practices and training sessions

– Coordinate and attend cheerleading competitions and events

– Ensure the safety of team members during practices and performances

– Foster a positive and supportive team environment

– Monitor and assess the progress of individual team members

– Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall cheerleading program

Skills:

– Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques, stunts, and routines

– Ability to educate and train team members on proper cheerleading skills

– Proficiency in physical education activities such as swimming, martial arts, climbing, or basketball

– Experience in behavior management and fostering discipline within a team setting

– Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and provide feedback to team members

– Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures for ensuring the safety of team members

– Ability to adapt coaching techniques to meet the needs of individual team members

– Previous experience in cheerleading, dance, or related fields is preferred but not required
